Traditional Girl

This is the painting of a woman before the independence of India. Before independence, widowed women are not allowed to wear anything other than white sarees. Of course, sober colours are allowed. Jewellery of any kind is not allowed. This is the portrait of a pregnant widowed woman before independence and one of my traditional Indian paintings.
