This is my oil painting on substrate canvas, Woman in pink saree, 20 * 16 inches, available for sale. Swathi, my model cum friend came home and posed for me for about 10 days, yes this one took me 10 days to finish the painting, but I thoroughly enjoyed doing the work. The light that is falling on the right side of the body is natural light, so it was very interesting to do this portrait study. Fair skin is a little easy to paint, she is dusky fair, so it was quite easy for me to handle. Also I enjoyed doing the fabric, take a close look at her fabric and the natural folds in it. It was interesting to bring the transparency in the saree. This painting was well received by the audience here.
