My subject is a beautiful Indian girl, embellished with jewels, carrying a lantern with the light from the lantern falling on her face. The saree and the jewels are Kolkatta style, Kolkatta is a state in India. There is a beautiful light falling on her face, making her beauty more exquisite.
This is one of my recent paintings. I was totally inspired by an internationally acclaimed artist and then I tried this work. This style seems to interest me a lot. So you will be seeing a lot of my paintings in the same style.
Technically I did a rough color scheme and then did several color schemes over the rough scheme until I was satisfied and then I completed the painting over the final scheme.
